Copyright And Licensing Policy
For all articles published in Us (LQ Publishing), the copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, which means that anyone can download and read the paper for free. Additionally, the article may be reused and quoted, provided that the original published version is properly cited. These conditions allow for maximum usage and exposure of the work, while ensuring that authors receive proper credit.
In exceptional circumstances, articles may be licensed differently. If you have a specific condition (such as one related to funding) that prevents this license, please inform the editorial office of the journal at the time of submission. Exceptions will be granted at the discretion of the publisher.
Reproducing Published Material from Other Publishers
It is essential that authors obtain permission to reproduce any published material (figures, schemes, tables, or any excerpt of a text) that does not fall into the public domain or for which they do not hold the copyright. Authors must request permission from the copyright holder (usually the publisher—refer to the imprint of individual publications to identify the copyright holder).
Permission is required for:
- Your own works published by other publishers where you did not retain copyright.
- Substantial excerpts from other works or a series of works.
- Use of tables, graphs, charts, schemes, and artworks if they are unaltered or slightly modified.
- Photographs for which you do not hold copyright.
Permission is not required for:
- Reconstruction of your own table with data already published elsewhere. Please note that in such cases, you must cite the source of the data as "Data from..." or "Adapted from...".
- Reasonably short quotes are considered fair use and, therefore, do not require permission.
- Graphs, charts, schemes, and artworks that are completely redrawn and significantly changed beyond recognition do not require permission.
Obtaining Permission:
To avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process, authors should begin obtaining permissions as early as possible. If you are unsure about the copyright status, apply for permission. Us (LQ Publishing) cannot publish material from other publications without permission.
The copyright holder may provide instructions on the form of acknowledgment to follow; otherwise, use the style: "Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year]." This should be included at the end of the caption for the table, figure, or scheme.
